About Howdy Gals
Howdy Gals is a music booking collective that aims to bring inclusivity, diversity and safety to everything we do. We got our start in December 2017 and while we’ve seen many changes in the team, our values are always the same. We’re women of color founded and our team is all women & non-binary run.
We support local and rising bands, we love good music and we thrive off of connecting crowds to bands. When you come to a Howdy Gal show you know the music is going to be great and every person there is a local scene supporter and community you’re welcome to be a part of.
Our home base is Austin but we now have members in San Francisco, Chicago and New York – watch out world!

BELICIA LUEVANO (she/her)

Bel hit the ground running when she moved to Austin in 2014 and racked up a resume that includes: KVRX DJ, Local Live producer, Orange Magazine writer, music venue booker, karaoke host and lead singer in a Strokes cover band. She started Howdy Gals with bestie Kelly because she couldn’t imagine her life without music & the community.
She recently moved to San Francisco where she still helps with Austin booking and is starting concert photography while exploring the scene.

DIANA BUCHERT (she/her)
Booker
Diana entered the booking world while in college in Athens, Ohio, booking gigs for ACRN Media (go rock lobsters!!!) and the DIY house The New Happiness. A professional hypewoman for an indie label by day and a gig-goer at night, she also loves eating copious amounts of breakfast tacos, listening to records or attempting to be fit at the local skatepark/climbing gym 🙂
Likes: post-punk music, boston terriers, eggs.
Dislikes: mushrooms, early mornings, TV static (it’s creepy)
HAILEY HALE (she/her)
Booker
Hailey entered the music scene her senior year of high school by joining the indie music magazine Heart Eyes as a writer and interviewer. She loved getting to know the artists behind the scenes and felt compelled to bring that love into the local Austin scene. Howdy Gals is her first booking experience and she’s been loving every second of it! When she is not working with Howdy Gals you can probably find her at a show with her friends, or at a coffee shop enjoying a good book!

KELLY NGO (she/her)

Kelly’s old college bedroom is where Howdy Gals came to life, as her and Bel spent hours trying to draw the perfect cowboy hat and discussing how they could continue to have music be a part of their everyday lives. She formerly booked the emo shows in Austin, and has since moved to Chicago where she will be diving into a new music scene with the thing that ignited her love for live music: show photography!

Before becoming a part of the Howdy team, Madison gained booking experience through curating local bills that they also performed on. A driving force in the ever-expanding Austin pop scene, Madison works on both ends of the local live spectrum as not only a booker but also an independent musician & performer. In what treasured free time they have, they enjoy spending quality time with their loved ones, eating incredibly good food, and taking really long walks. If they’re not out performing or attending a show, you’ll probably have a difficult time finding them, because they don’t like to stay in one spot for too long. 🙂
TIFFANY CHUNG (she/her)

Tiffany has always been fascinated by live music, and wanted to find a community within the Austin scene. Starting her booking journey in Headliner’s at UT, Tiffany found a passion in discovering and working with small local artists. You can find Tiffany out at a show any day of the week just enjoying the show or photographing the show.
